Taman Kupu Kupu, Butterflies Park, is situated in Tabanan regency, about 6 km north from the center of Tabanan. At this 1-hectare park a very wide net is installed to keep various butterflies. The most famous species here is Omithoptera Paradisea in which visitors always adore their beautiful colors. In every month, at least 3.500 butterflies coming from all corners of Indonesia in which the species vary are released. Among of them are famous species of the world such as Spectacular Bird Wing Butterfly ( Ornithoptera and Troides) Swallow tails and great mormon( Papilio)

Bali Butterflies Park is arguably considered as the only one place for breeding and preservation. You can see the metamosphosis of butterflies very clearly. Even more if you are lucky you can be witness of how butterflies break out of cocoon second by second and fly beautifully for the first time. Indeed this place is not only operated as a tourist destination but also as a big labortorium for those who are crave in researching butterflies and other insects.

Other insects? Yes, besides butterflies Bali Butterflies Park has some species of grasshopper, beetle, and even scorpion. The grasshopper is released on the wide green park so that you can find some while walking. In addition beetle and scorpion are placed in an aquarium which looks like a cave for visitors’ safety.
