Villa Imogiri
High on a lush green canyon above the Wos River near Ubud in the historic Regency of Gianyar, lies the magnificent estate of Villa Imogiri. Villa Imogiri offers the highest levels of privacy and supreme luxury within a setting of breathtaking vistas and exquisite gardens scented with frangipani, hibiscus, orchids and bougainvilaea.
Villa Imogiri is located on the perimeter of the quaint villages of Bangkiang Sidem and Keliki, just eight minutes from Ubud — the artistic centre of Bali. The Villa Imogiri estate is established between two important temples, one of which has seen the Hindu religion practised there since the 19th century. The spectacle of pageantry and music can often be witnessed as village celebrants’ parade between these revered temples.
Created after the style of the great water palaces of Bali, the architecturally designed estate features three luxury guest villas. Two villas are located at either end of the impossing thatched roof lounge pavilion that spans the full width of the property. This building is surrounded by water and appears to be ‘floating’ on a 850 square metre reflecting pond adorned with colourful lotus blossoms.
