Bus Trans Sarbagita: Cheap and Comfortable Public Transportation in Bali
Day to day some strategic roads in Bali becomes crowded and crowded that traffic jam is unavoidable. To parse this traffic congestion especially in 4 regions in Bali, local government launched Bus Trans Sarbagita coincides with Indonesia’s 66th Independence Day on August 17th 2011.
This bus which will take the passengers within Denpasar, Badung, Gianyar, and Tabanan (Sarbagita) area has three routes. 1st Route: the bus will take you from Catur Muka Statue (Denpasar) to Garuda Wisnu Kencana Central Park (Badung), 2nd Route: the bus will take passengers from Batubulan (Gianyar) to Nusa Dua (Badung) while the 3rd Route is from Jl. Gatot Subroto transit in Canggu and the last destination is Ngurah Rai International Airport.
Bus Trans Sarbagita has several numbers of bus stops. However, during the trial session, there are only 3 stops which are already operated. If some bus stops gain many passengers during the trial period then they will be retained and if it doesn’t then those bus stops will be closed.
It can be assured that the pasengers will not be late for work since there is bus in every 15 minutes and each bus will stop only 1 minute to drop off and transport the passengers in each bus stop. Just like in Jakarta and Jogjakarta, this public transportation’s fee is considered low that anyone can enjoy the service. At only Rp 3.500 for public and Rp 3000 for students, you may feel so comfortable in this air-conditioned bus containing 40 seats.
To support the operation of this trans bus, local government will received 15 units of bus gradually from Ministry of Transportation. Though there is only 1 route which has been activated but other routes will be operated soon. And all people can enjoy low-priced sightseeing in Bali start from 05.00 up to 21.00.
