People call it Crystal bay

Tuesday, August 5th, 2008 by Rina-Editor

If you are looking for a pristine beach then do not stuck on island of Bali only. You can go to the southeast of Bali and find another island which belongs to the province of Bali. Nusa Penida, thus people call this island, ‘hide’ many beautiful beaches. Let’s take a trip to its most beautiful beach!

The Sacred Giri Putri Cave

It is very easy to find a beautiful beach in this island. The nearest beach to the harbor is Toya Pakeh beach. In this beach, you are allowed to enjoy the beauty of sea floor through diving. On the middle of August there will be a place of turtle cultivation in this area. However, Toya Pakeh is not the most beautiful beach.

Cristina Memorial

Sunday, August 3rd, 2008 by Rucina Belinger

At first it looked like it might rain. But then the mood lightened and it was a bright and crisp day. As I walked down the path to Cristina’s house, it hit me. I will never walk this path again. I entered the archway where her helpers, Ibu Ketut and Pak Made had decorated with coconut fronds. Two big “offerings” of fruit and flowers flanked her doorway.

Rio had printed up a lovely photo of Cristina by a river holding her favorite mask, Dalem the king and hung it on the outside door. She was looking up at us. I walked into her living space and there was another photo of her looking out to the actual river and the view outside, in profile with the mask side by side with her, in profile As well.

The kitchen was filled with coffee, tea and Balinese cakes that Asri had organized. I started Working on a “buku kenangan” or memorial book (thank you, Tom Hunter for that idea!), filling it with photos from Cristina’s albums. Everyone who came signed it, saying good bye to Cristina for The last time.

The Gambuh troupe filtered in, we could see them coming down the path carrying their instruments, all the Men in long blue t-shirts and kain (sarongs). They set up the instruments and were given coffee and cakes.

Lake View of Tamblingan and Buyan

Sunday, July 27th, 2008 by baliwww.com

Bali is noted for the beauty and variety of the landscapes from coastal lowland to the exhilarating high mountain lakes, barren limestone plateaus to thick monsoon forests. A west-to-east volcanic chain divides the island in half. Bali’s mountains covered in tall rainforest stand in contrast to the wild and rugged beauty of volcanic craters, some of which are still active. Crater lakes are found at Batur in the east and Bratan, Buyan and Tamblingan in the rich submontane rainforest area around Bedugul. Fast flowing rivers, deep ravines, rugged saddles, and alluvial slopes score the surface of the island

10 of the World’s Best Honeymoon Spots

Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008 by baliwww.com

Every bride dreams of the perfect wedding, but every couple looks forward to the days after the ceremony when they embark on their first vacation as a married couple - the honeymoon. The stress of planning a party for family and friends slowly melts away as couples relax on beaches, at romantic resorts, or participating in a favorite sports activity.

The dream honeymoon will vary dramatically from couple to couple. While some prefer to lay back and be catered to, others will prefer a more active role in their vacation. No matter what your desires, one of the world’s 10 hottest honeymoon spots is sure to cater to demands. All you have to do is choose!

10. Walt Disney World, Florida

Walt Disney World has been a popular honeymoon destination for newlyweds for years. Couples can relive the magic of childhood while visiting any of Disney’s amazing theme parks, water parks, safari adventures, shopping districts, or shows. Disney is also an excellent destination for couples with children who, for whatever reason, just can’t bear to leave the kids at home!

9. Hyatt Regency Aruba Beach Resort & Casino, Aruba

In Palm Beach, Aruba, the beautiful Hyatt Regency Aruba Beach Resort is the ultimate destination for those looking for a serene place to soak in the sun. The hotel features a full spa and fitness center, a three-tier pool with waterfalls, white sandy beaches, and plenty of sports activities. There are dozens of attractions nearby for those who want to stay active, but plenty of quiet space for those who want to simply kick back and relax. Sunbathe by day and then dance the night away!

8. Caneel Bay, St. John

Situated in Virgin Islands National Park, the Caneel Bay Resort is one of the most beautiful and secluded destinations a honeymooning couple could ask for. The resort caters to couples looking for privacy by offering ocean view rooms with patios or, for complete seclusion, private cottages. Explore one of the half dozen surrounding beaches, visit the Beach Terrace restaurant for an incredible buffet, or hide out in your room. If you are looking to travel, the Caneel Bay Resort can help you plan your wedding, too!

7. Amankila, Indonesia

If you have a little more time to travel, a trip to stunning Mangiss, in Bali, Indonesia will land you in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Immerse yourself in rich Indonesian culture while experiencing life in some of the most environmentally friendly comforts that the Aman Resorts community has to offer. Nusa Penida : The Golden Egg of Bali

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008 by Rina-Editor

Not many people know that Bali has a part (district) at south-east side consisting three islands. The biggest one is named Nusa Penida. The smaller island is called Nusa Lembongan and the smallest one is known as Nusa Ceningan, this island is situated between Nusa penida and Nusa Lembongan. Each of them has own tourist destination and unique art. However, Nusa Penida offers awesome beaches that are still pure and conservation for birds, plants, and turtle, and a very special dance, because of that people often call it as Golden Egg but it has not hatched yet. Why?

Nusa Penida

Nusa Penida is a district belonging to Klungkung regency. In order to get to Nusa Penida you have to take a trip to Padang Bay first. Then, you have to cross Badung Strait (between Bali Island and Nusa Penida) using “Roro-Nusa Jaya Abadi” the only ferryboat that can help you cross to Nusa Penida. After spending about one hour voyage then you will reach Toya Pakeh Harbor. At there you can travel the island by “omprengan” or modified pick-up car.

Nusa Penida has many tourism destinations that can be enjoyed. Beaches are very easy to be found in this island, Puncak Temu where you can find beautiful scene, several choices of art performance can be watched.
