Ramavana Dharma Saagara The Ocean of Dharma in the Ramayana
It is a unique compilation of Music, Dance and Storytelling, capturing the Ramayana tradition, which has an infinite appeal to people of all ages. This is a celebration of Valmiki Ramayana. We bring a small amount of water from its rich ocean of values and experiences. The Ramayana is tilled with compelling dialogues, addressing universal issues of love, sorrow, fear, adventure, anger, greed. We bring some of the famous episodes in the Ramayana to you and they bring Dharma alive.
The music, dance and storytelling will bring to life the dynamic traits of the main characters of Valmiki Ramayana. The interplay of characters and events that showcase values, universal in content, provide a rich tapestry for talking about the human saga. Every conflict and its resolution strike a chord in our current lives. Children and adults have an inherent tendency towards truth, fairness, equality, compassion, duty, and dignity. From Hanuman valor, Jatayu duty, Sita devotion, Bharata humility, Lakshmana steadfastness, and finally to Rama sense of dharma, we see the qualities that define a civilized and humane culture.
Dharma, with all the multifaceted nuances inherent in each character and event, is the common thread that strings the players in this magnificent epic. We look with the eyes and ears of the young, where innocence reigns, to grasp the heroic qualities that will inspire us to rise above the tendencies in society that bring us down.
