Great that you are giving attention to gambuh. People should know that the Batuan troupe performs at least every month (on 15th I think) at the Pura Desa, but unfortunately the tour agencies do not give much publicity to this.

The reference to Udayana starting gambuh may be a later myth (and may in fact have only appeared in lontars written in the 20th century). It is more likely that gambuh started in East Java in the Majapahit era, as a form of gambuh, raket, is referred to in the Nagarakertagama (or Desawarnnana).</description>
