As the year-end approaches, both Wakatobi Dive Resort and the Pelagian wish to thank all those that have visited us in 2005. On several fronts, 2005 will be remembered as one of our best years ever. We’ve been honored with environmental initiative awards by both PADI and Scuba Diving magazine. We were also nominated for two World Travel Awards for world’s best dive operator and Indonesia’s leading resort. In addition, the Pelagian liveaboard is now fully integrated into the Wakatobi family—and already starting to get rave reviews. And finally, we have had several returning guests comment that the reefs and marine life around Wakatobi are as healthy and robust as they have ever been—a testament to the years of marine conservation work we’ve pioneered at Wakatobi.With 2006 right around the corner, we can’t wait to see what the new season will bring (for a hint, keep reading).

Welcome to the last edition of ‘News from Tandjung Sari for 2005′.As one of our most important guests, we wish to keep you updated on the happenings at Tandjung Sari and around Bali. We wish all our guests and friends a happy, healthy and safe Year End 2005, and a prosperous 2006.

The festive season and New Year celebrations are around the corner! It is time to share with close friends and family. However in our time of celebration, we do not forget the suffering that has touched the lives of so many people in Bali last October. Thank you to those guests who sent emails of concern.

Bali now remains a quiet and peaceful island, with extremely friendly and gentle people, awaiting the opportunity to welcome tourists back to the region.

What’s New?

• Our Two-Storey Bungalow is under renovation. We are looking at another 3-4 weeks of completion, and it will be fabulous! For further information about special rates for other bungalow types, please contact us.
• A “face-lift” is also being done for our Pool Deck area, nearby the swimming pool. This is planned to be completed early December.
• We have a SPA!!! Tandjung Sari is proud to announce that we have signed a working agreement with Jamu Traditional Spa. Hotel guests will be able to enjoy Spa Treatments in Tandjung Sari. This will take effect early 2006.
