Saharadja wants to play its music for the world

Friday, March 17th, 2006 by Saharadja
This letter was written in Oct 2005, still actual as the situation in the world didn’t evolve for more peace and tolerancy:
As in many places in the world, terror went down in Bali again.
Peoples here doesn’t t understand why those who were hosted with smile want to hurt them so badly. Most of the victims are Indonesians.
This is no a religious war, more a politic issue, to bring fear in the heart of people.
We denied this world they want for us, ashes grey, sad, full of fearness.
We choose the world of love, joy, compassion, goodness.
We will not fight with their weapons of hate and vengeance, but we are more than ever determinate to build our world, all together , until we’ll overcome them.
Our power is greater than their, as we share on the long time hopes and love.
Our pray goes to all who suffer, and also to these lost souls, trapped in the chains of Satan.
More than ever now, we want to get united with all who share our message.
Saharadja wants to play its music for the world, God’s world, that he leave it for us to share.
He Love You
Eric

Old Soldiers Never Die…

Thursday, March 16th, 2006 by ablteam

Old Soldiers are never die…they do not fade away, either. It turned out on Wednesday that the old soldiers keep on fighting!

Legiun Veteran Republik Indonesia (LVRI) Bali, the organization of the heroes of the War of Independence, stole the show during the public hearing with its concise, straightforward and touching statement.

An old soldier, Ida Bagus Kompyang read the two-point statement,

“We reject the Anti Pornography Bill and We are ready to accept any consequences of this rejection.”

Bali Stands United

Thursday, March 16th, 2006 by ablteam

The Balinese people’s struggle against the Anti Pornography Bill reached a riotous climax on Wednesday when, during a public hearing held at the Bali Legislative Council’s building in Renon, both the Council’s chairman IBP Wesnawa (right) and the Bali Governor Dewa Made Beratha (left) officially stated their rejection to the controversial bill.

Hundreds of anti bill activists, including the Komponen Rakyat Bali (KRB)’s Ngurah Harta, Cok Sawitri, Ketut Wiana, Luh Anggreni, Abubakar, Aridus and Highpriest Ida Pedanda Sebali Tianyar Arimbawa, attended the hearing.

“The Council rejects the bill and we demands that the House of Representatives terminate the deliberation process of the bill,” Wesnawa stated.

The Council’s three factions; the majority Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle and the Golkar party backed the rejection unanimously whereas the minority Kertha Mandala faction supported it by the majority.

Proposed Pornography Legislation by Indonesian government.

Thursday, March 16th, 2006 by Yusna K

Pls help Bali in its crisis by signing this online petition re: proposed Pornography Legislation by Indonesian government.

Dear friends and family,
As you may have heard, in Indonesia right now they are trying to pass a new law in Indonesia against all types of Pornography. This means that even tourists will have to cover themselves from head to toe in clothing when visiting Bali or other islands in Indonesia. People who show too much skin will be thrown in jail. No more shorts or tank tops - and forget trying to enjoy the sun in a bikini!!!

As you can imagine, this will destroy all tourism in Bali and will completely change the lifestyle here. As an Indonesian citizen this terrifies me and everyone else here. This is NOT a joke.

PLEASE help us. We are standing together to reject this law. There is a petition online and EVERY signature will help. We only have a few days left until they make the decision so all of us here in Bali will appreciate if you can sign and ask your friends and family to sign too.

Bali has gone through such hard times with the bombings, bird flu,Tsunami and more, so we cannot let this law pass, or tourism will come to a stop all together. Bali’s main income is from tourism so we cannot let this happen.

We are just asking you to visit this web page below and PLEASE sign your name and ask everyone you know to sign too. We don’t have much time.
