What to Do on Full Moon in Denpasar
Tonight is full moon here in Bali, and of course full moon in Bali offers something more than ordinary days especially in Denpasar where full-moon fever reach its highest point compare to other areas in Bali; but what is the good thing to do on a full moon in Denpasar.
Well, for those who want to enjoy full moon in solitude, enjoying a moonrise from good old Sanur beach or from the restaurants along the beach is surely a great thing to do. Enjoying the reflection of the moonlight on the ocean with two or three anglers casting their net unaware of the beauty of the surrounding is what you can get in Sanur in addition to the rise of the moon from vast ocean.
For those who feel comfortable with the bustling religious, art and cultural events, Jagatnatha Temple, which is located in the heart of Denpasar near Bali Museum, is just the perfect place for you. Come to this temple in the evening, you can see thousands of Balinese paying homage to God in front of the grand Padmasana (Lotus Seat or the Throne of God) in the inner courtyard of the temple. You can also enjoy the shadow puppet (wayang kulit) performance for free. The shadow puppet performance is staged in the outer courtyard of the temple of course there will be no seat available you have to sit on the ground and blend with the crowd.
Above activities are just a few from dozens activities that you can do in Denpasar on full moon night. Kuta may be superb on the sunset but when it comes to full moon Denpasar is surely the best place to enjoy the night.
