If you happen to take a vacation in the island of Lombok don’t miss the Sindang (Sendang) Gila waterfall. The Sindang Gila waterfall is located in Senaru Village around 2,5 hours drive from Mataram or Senggigi. This waterfall is percehed on the slope of mount Rinjani about 600m above sea level and can be seen from some restaurants in Senaru village.

To reach the Sindang Gila waterfall is quite easy, just a 20-minute walk down a graded trail and steps from Senaru Village, there is also a pleasant alternative return route winds along the edge of the steep valley, following the irrigation canal. Along the walk the visitors can enjoy a lush green forest and take a few shot of monkeys that inhabit the forest.

The Sindang Gila waterfall has a bathing area. The water of this waterfall – cold and refreshing, straight from the mountain springs – drops from an impressive height into a river and bathing area. Many visitors take an opportunity to take a bath here and get a a tissue deep massage by getting right under the waterfall. The Sindang Gila waterfall is also a beautiful spot for a picnic or just an afternoon relaxing.
