Pengosekan is a village unique in Bali producing art for the village itself. Their motto “By the village for the village“ reflects this community spirit.

 Pengosekan is located in south Ubud, and for many years has been home to world famous Painters and Artisans, such as: Gusti Ketut Kobot, Dewa Nyoman Batuan, Dewa Putu Mokoh, Ketut Liyer. Traditional Balinese musicians also abound such as: Dewa Nyoman Oka, Gusti Ketut Karta, Dewa Nyoman Sura and many more.

Beginning this year the painters of Pengosekan Community are exhibiting their paintings in their own village. Proceeds from the exhibition to the villagers and artist.

It is hoped that Tour Operators will aid the village by bringing their clients to see the art of Pengosekan.
