Warung Murni, Ubud
Situated above the famous campuhan (the meeting of two rivers) of Ubud, Warung Murni which was opened in 1974, claimed to be Ubud’s first real restaurant and it remains first in the hearts of many people today. This claimed is supported not just by delicious dishes, cheap price, and friendly staff but also with cozy interior and superb surrounding view.
Warung Murni serves Indonesian, international and café style dishes. You can get authentic apple pie as well as chicken satay here. All these three genre of dishes are cheap and excellent. Give a shot on their delicious Pollo Al Parmigiano, tender chicken breast, crumbled pan-fried and finished with tomato, mozzarella and parmesan cheese sauce, served with tossed salad.

Warung Murni as a matter of fact is built on the edge of Ayung River; spread over four levels downwards, of which three are for dining. The lower levels are closer to the river so the atmosphere is cooler. Be sure to go down to the lowest level to see the view of the river.

Nice description of my favourite restaurant in Bali. Been there many times and keep going back.
Excellent shop too and fantastic web site: http://www.murnis.com.
I’d recommend it as an absolute must.
