Coral Reefs are alive and well in NW Bali
After some diving on the North shore( Amed ), and the eastern shore( Candi Dasa), we settled on Pemuteran Bay as a launching point for a bunch of dive sites near the National Park. We could have stayed two weeks diving all the beautiful spots. Mejangan Island ( Deer Island ) was a knockout ! I starting diving in 1957, and was happy to see pristine coral and the fish, once again. Coral Reefs are alive and well in NW Bali !
We met a lot of people that would come to bali just to dive ! I would hype the Permuteran area. Amed was terrible, the corral has bleached out ugh one star rating ! Menjangan rates a five star rating. Candi Dasa area was OK, especially the tons of reef fish, 3 star rating.
