Dare to be different…

Capturing the ambience and authenticity of the African wilderness, Mara River Safari Lodge is a themed resort that offers a truly unique experience. Accommodation is composed of a series of comfortably appointed thatched dwellings orientated towards a landscape inhabited by wildlife.

With the shadow of Bali’s sacred Mount Agung looming in the distance, embrace the rare tranquillity of this retreat as rhinos, zebras and oryx graze contentedly at close range. Savour the raw beauty surrounding the lodge, while lions majestically roar declaring their status as king of the beasts.

Wild at heart…

Spend quality leisure time venturing into the park to explore or just relax at the Kiboko Pool and watch the day pass by. Dine on delectable cuisine against the amazing backdrop of the Tsavo Lion Restaurant where these magnificent creatures prowl around the outer boundary.

Mara River Safari Lodge offers an exceptional level of personalised hospitality and modern facilities to ensure that every stay is a pleasure filled adventure. This family friendly retreat is the ultimate opportunity to coexist with wild animals in an environment that recreates the spirit of Africa.

It is officially open 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. I think you have to have a special request if you want to go at 4.00 am. From my experience, the best to come is in the afternoon, most animals are starting active. I came on time in the morning, they were lazy, still sleeping.
