March 4th Pangrupukan
This day is the day to exorcize the evil spirits-bhuta kala from every person and surroundings so that Balinese is ready to do Catur Brata Panyepian in Nyepi Day. Balinese will pray and hitting the cans while bringing the torches encircling the house to make Bhuta Kala exorcized. After all home ritual has done, Balinese will gather in their Banjar to parade the big evil statue-Ogoh-ogoh, a symbol of Bhuta Kala around the village. Some organizers hold Ogoh-ogoh festival in the center of the city. Before the mid-night they come back home and burn the Ogoh-ogoh.
March 5th Nyepi
Nyepi is Balinese New Year of Caka Year, an absolute silent day. All people are forbidden to go out; Balinese even more will carry out Catur Brata Panyepian: no activity, no work, no holiday, and no light for 24 hours consequently Bali seems to be the dead island for one day. When wake up on the next day you will feel as if the earth was reborn because of supplying very fresh air. Nyepi day also inspires many people and NGO who cares about environment to create another silent day to decrease the pollution and keep the energy.

March 19th Purnama Sasih Kadasa
The greatest Hindu temple in Bali named Besakih will be flocked by people from all corner of the island from a week before this day. On this day Balinese believe all gods and goddesses will come down to the earth to spread the blessings. Some important temples will also be visited before visiting Besakih such as: Pura Ulun Danu Batur, Pura Lempuyang, Pura Jagadnatha, etc.
March 23 – 27th Bali Spirit Festival
