Nusa Dua is an area that covers entire eastern side of the Bukit Peninsula at the southern tip of Bali but with the advent of tourism, the word Nusa Dua can also refers to the purpose-built, safe and rather exclusive tourist area at the southeast side of this peninsula.
Nusa Dua houses most of Bali’s luxury hotels, most popular golf course in Bali and the main convention centre on the island. Apart from the accommodation facilities, Nusa Dua has nice beaches with white sand, deep, long and safe for swimming. You can also enjoy public beach at Geger in Nusa Dua area if you are not staying at this area.
Nusa Dua can be accessed easily from Kuta area (30 minutes) through the main southern route called Jalan Bypass Ngurah Rai which then becomes Jalan Bypass Nusa dua as it approaches the Nusa Dua area. The international airport is about 20 to 30 minutes by car. To maintain the security of the area, Nusa Dua area has three manned gates and everyone entering is subject to a security search.
