Pekenan Lais Maseluk: A Traditional Market with a New Look

If you want to find cheap traditional Balinese food and snacks as well as fruits, local handicraft, clothes, traditional entertainment and new experiences, then “Pekenan Lais Meseluk” is the event you must visit. Pekenan Lais Meseluk for this month was held at Lumintang City Park in North Denpasar District, from October 2 until October 4, 2009; East Denpasar District will hold this event next month.

“Pekenen Lais Meseluk” is Balinese terminology for a very thriving traditional market; as a matter of fact this event is a bazaar with traditional Balinese spirit and style. Pekenan Lais Meseluk is held to provide a chance for local farmers, restaurateurs and handicraft makers to introduce their products to the customers and to revive the concept of creative economic activities which based on local culture.
