I tend to disagree. I am Balinese and I have a feeling that many of my friends as well will look to our ancestors not as such. Myself particularly see them as healthy, happy, and materially contented people. That’s exactly the main reason of their exceptional talent and creativity in life including in arts. We envy them. Now however we as their descendants should do something positive to Bali that hopefully can compare to their contribution in the past, of course in modern contexts, as a lot of things related to this island paradise are still need to be improved.
