Subeng is an ear ornament that is worn only by woman. In the old days the ears of Balinese women usually has a big hole in the place where the earrings are usually worn to accommodate the use of subeng but nowadays, Balinese craftsmen have made a subeng that can be worn without causing a big hole on the ears.
