Kuningan Day

Kuningan is a special day for ancestor worship. On this holidayday the deified ancestor will be suitably entertained and welcomed, and prayers and offerings must be made for them. The Kuningan ceremony must be held before noon, since Balinese believes that the ancestors will ascent back to their respective abode at noon. The ceremony will be held in every Balinese’s family temple (sanggah or merajan).

The Indonesia Coffee Festival

The Indonesia Coffee Festival is a festival to celebrate the culture of Coffee, or to be precise, the culture of Coffee drinking.  The festivals will be attended by the community of coffee houses, cafés, and restaurants which place coffee among their main menu; the coffee lover communities and individuals who simply love coffee; coffee Bloggers; and the coffee farmers and all coffee related businesses. The Indonesian Coffee Festival will be held in Ubud, Bali.   The festival will be conducted in casual folk style atmosphere in the form of coffee sipping sessions, accompanied by cozy chatting. The main objective of the festival is to provide a gathering place for communities of coffee to meet one another and to start the campaign to popularize coffee, so that Indonesia’s coffee can be host in her own country. The Coffee Festival will also act as a campaign to promote Coffee houses and Cafes as a new option for tourism.

The International Bali Meditators Festival (IBMF)

The Fourth International Bali Meditators Festival (IBMF) will be held in Ubud on September 20 to 23.  This interesting festival will be a gathering event for a lot of people from different spiritual backgrounds. The Festival features music and dance performances, apart from formal sessions such as panel discussions and workshops. Special events will include various programs such as yoga for kids, yoga for youth and many more. Visitors are welcome to visit some booths on the bazaar area while enjoying the view of the place and the festival ambience.

Sanur Village Festival

The seventh Sanur Village Festival will be held on September 26 – 30, 2012 located at cottages area of Inna Grand Bali Beach, Sanur. “Salampah Laku” is the event’s theme this year, reflecting the long winding road of life. An array of routine programs will certainly highlight Sanur Village Festival this year with the main attraction set at the food festival area combined with a wide range of entertainments from traditional and modern collaborations. There will be clean and green program including the beach cleaning campaign, coral reef conservation, baby turtle release and tree plantation. Other interesting activities also take place around Sanur area in conjunction with Sanur Village festival including Golf tournament, jukung exhibition, kite festival and more.
