Puri Saren Agung

Puri saren is Ubud’ s main palace, lies on the northeast comer of the town main crossroads facing the market, the exact center of Ubud, 200 m east Pura Saraswasti. This is an elegant palace with cool nuance. Puri Saren Agung is the palace of the Sukawatis dynasty, the ruling family of Ubud since late of 19th century. Visitors are free to roam in inner courtyard of the palace to see the ornate thatched Bale (traditional house), royal heirlooms, and numerous colonial-era photographs.

Pura Saraswati

Pura Saraswati is the royal temple of Ubud. Situated near the Puri Saren Agung, behind the Cafe Lotus. The temple is a masterpiece of I Gusti Nyoman Lempad. The visitors can find a magnificent lotus pond, beautiful garden, numerous of beautifully carved Bale and shrines. This temple is dedicated to the goddess of learning, Dewi Saraswati.

After searching the web for a “Bali Style” Wedding, I was disappointed that all the hotels only offered you a standard “White dress and Tuxedo” service. We wanted something more “Bali Style”, and something that our friends would travel from the US and Japan to be a part of. We found just such a “East meets West” format at the Puri Saraswati, in Ubud. Being on the old palace grounds, with the Lotus Pond and Stage next door, this hotel was the perfect venue for a wedding.

Puri Saraswati Bungalows has recently completed its new lobby. It is elegantly constructed of white Palimanan stone and beautiful carving on the pillars. The lobby is welcoming to guests and has a warm and friendly feel to it. The lobby was the last of a complete renovation program that included all rooms, restaurant, pool and gardens. Now Puri Saraswati Bungalows is fully prepared to pamper their guests with all these new amenities and facilities.
