What to do in Bedugul
As a favorite place for pending weekend, Bedugul offer many interesting activities to spend the leisure time. The activities range from sightseeing around the lake to exploring the forest, from visiting beautiful lake temple to doing water sports on the lake.
For those who want to have a sightseeing trip you can start your trip at Bali Botanical Garden (Kebun Raya Eka Karya), this 160-hectare garden is one of four official botanical garden in Indonesia. This botanical garden also has informative library, butterfly and orchid garden. Another must-see place in Bedugul is Pura Ulun Danu Bratan (Lake Bratan Temple), a beautiful temple with stunningly beautiful background. This temple is located on the shore of lake Bratan giving an illusion that this temple is floating on the lake.
If you want a more challenging sightseeing you can do a hiking through the forest around Tamblingan Lake and Munduk village that have many picturesque views especially Munduk waterfall, a beautiful waterfall that literally roar in the rainy season. The area around the lake and botanical garden are also good spots for Birdwatching activities, more than 97 species of bird can be found here.
If you want to do some sport here, you can try parasailing, jetskiing, or other water sports on the southern shore of Lake Bratan, you can also rent a rowing boat here.
