Tanah Lot is an important and sacred temple in on the south west coast of Bali, it is about 45-minute drive north west from Kuta, Legian and Seminyak and 40-minute drive from Ubud. Tanah Lot is an extremely popular tourist destination for sunset, it can be very busy in the late afternoons, pre-sunset.

The superb Nirwana Golf Course is adjacent to Tanah Lot, just to the south. This Greg Norman designed course is consistently voted as one of the very best in the whole of Asia. Few-minute drive north of Tanah Lot is Pejaten village. This village is the centre of the ceramics manufacturing business in Bali, and well worth a visit. There is a pottery and ceramic museum here and you can also visit dozens of pottery workshops showcasing interesting pieces of pottery art.
